Dal Lake
Dal Lake is the most attractive tourist destination in Srinagar and a symbol of Kashmir’s beauty. Surrounded by tall mountains, the lake offers enchanting views throughout the year. It is famous for its floating market, shikaras, and houseboats. Dal Lake is the second-largest lake in Jammu and Kashmir, attracting the highest flow of tourists. During winters, it freezes completely, creating a magical and unique sight that draws visitors from across the world.
Hari Parbat Fort (Koh-i-Maran Fort)
Situated atop a hill in the Zabarwan Range, Hari Parbat Fort offers a panoramic view of the entire Srinagar city. Built during the Durrani Empire, this historical fort is a major attraction where lakhs of tourists come to witness its grandeur and breathtaking views.
Nishat Garden
Located on the eastern side of Dal Lake, Nishat Garden is the second-largest Mughal garden in Kashmir. Pari Mahal (Palace of Fairies)

Shalimar Garden
Constructed by Emperor Jahangir in 1619, Shalimar Garden is one of the most iconic Mughal gardens of Kashmir. It is connected to Dal Lake by a canal on the northeast side. Known as Farah Baksh and Fayaz Baksh, this garden is adorned with majestic chinar trees and an artificial water canal flowing through its center. Tulip Garden (Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden)
Established in 2007, this is Asia’s largest tulip garden, spread over 30 hectares of land. Located in the foothills of the Zabarwan Range, the garden comes alive during spring when thousands of colorful tulips bloom, creating a breathtaking sight. It was developed to promote floriculture in Kashmir and has since become a major tourist attraction where visitors enjoy photography and videography.
Dachigam National Park
Located about 22 km from Srinagar, Dachigam National Park spans 141 sq. km. It was declared a national park in 1981 and is famous as the home of the Kashmiri stag (Hangul). The park is also rich in bird species, flora, and other wildlife, with meadows often covered in vibrant flowers, making it a paradise for nature lovers.
Badamwari Garden
Spread over 300 kanals, Badamwari is a historic almond garden in Srinagar. During spring, when almond blossoms bloom, the garden transforms into a stunning pink-and-white paradise, attracting locals and tourists alike.
Chashme Shahi Garden
Built in 1632 by Emperor Shah Jahan around a natural spring, Chashme Shahi is one of the most charming Mughal gardens. Though smaller in size (about 1 acre), its beauty and design attract nearly one lakh visitors every year. Like other Mughal gardens, it combines natural elegance with architectural finesse.
